Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics’2013 will give an impetus to modern ideas
March 15, 2013, Expocentre launched the 8th Edition of the International Specialized Exhibition for Laser, Optical and Optoelectronic Technologies – Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics’2013.
The exhibition is organized by Expocentre ZAO and the Laser Association, with support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the State Committee on Science and Technologies of Republic of Belarus, the European Optical Society, the Technological Center Association of German Engineers, under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Moscow City Government.
Sergey Bednov, General Director of Expocentre, noted in his welcoming speech that the participation of the leading companies, as well as the logos of UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, and RUEF – the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, testifies to the top-level of the Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics Exhibition.
More than 170 companies from 13 countries of the world present their developments at the area of more than 1600 sq m Germany, France and China organized national expositions. For the first time China presents two expositions, one of which is devoted to the technopark of Hubei province – a leading laser industry technopark.
Russia is one of the leading countries in the field of laser and optoelectronic development. 50 Russian companies take part in the exhibition. Sergey Bednov also stressed that Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics is traditionally accompanied by a rich programme of events. It incorporates an award ceremony of the contest Best Domestic Developments in the Field of Laser Equipment and Technologies.
Ivan Kovsh, President of the Laser Association, congratulated his colleagues at the exhibition. The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Holger Junge, Head of Secretariat of Technological Platform Photonics 21, Zhu Xiao, President of Hubei Laser Association (China), and other officials.
